Urban Orienteering - Test your navigational skills at speed - use the map provided to run the streets of Carlisle, clocking in at selected Control Points on the way.

Electronic Timing devices give times at each control point

Starts between 1pm and 2.30pm approx in the City Centre.

Four Courses - Distances later but approx. 2.5km  to 7km - these are crow-fly distances!!

Team Competition for Local Teams of Four (Not more than one team member to be a member of an Orienteering Club) - the chance for local groups of friends, work colleagues and other sports team-mates to show their worth. ( You should note that Members of a Team compete as four individuals OR two pairs - their four times are added together for the Team Prize)

Carlisle is a fantastic pedestrianised City with historic Castle and Cathedral, new (ish) 1980's award-winning single-storey shopping centre and riverside parkland (to accommodate the smaller floods!!!) almost exactly half-way from Land's End to John O Groats,  and is on the Main West Coast railway line, with good London-Glasgow bus links and NON-STOP Glasgow-London Motorway.

FRIENDLY FAST AND  FUN!
