This year the Choco-O is on the Northern Fells.
Now With Extended Opening until Easter, probably.
Parking is along the roadside at GR350 350. The verges are very soft so please take care when you park.
The start is at the SE wall corner at GR350 353.
- Short course is 10km, 450metres – Start, 5 controls and the Finish
- Long course is 15km, 700metres – Start, 7 controls and the Finish
Use Outdoor Leisure 5 North Eastern area for both courses:-
If not confident in your navigation and doing the Long Course, we suggest you take the North Western Outdoor Leisure 4.
Controls will be marked with an orienteering kite on the ground. At each control there is a stake which provides a description and grid reference of the next control.
Please carry a waterproof top and trousers, hat and gloves, compass, whistle and a small amount of emergency food. You also need to be able to mark the next control on your map at each control.
Courses open from Friday 18th December to 31st January AND NOW EXTENDED UNTIL THE EASTER, PROBABLY.
